Congratulations to Liz Barlowe, our COO, for recently being elected the President of the Florida Geriatric Care Managers Association. The Florida Geriatric Care Managers Association (FGCMA) is committed to educating the community regarding the role of the professional care manager and working with the state of Florida to develop a licensing procedure for all professional care managers. This year the FGCMA has joined forces with the University of Florida to complete a study of the cost effectiveness of utilizing a professional care manager in the lives of clients. We are proud of Liz’s commitment to the profession and for her leadership in the State of Florida in improving the profession of geriatric care management.
